Charming Maltese Townhouse in Senglea

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Maltese townhouse. The property beautifully blends traditional character with high-end design finishes, creating a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere throughout. One of our favorite spots was the basement area, where the incredibly comfortable sofa made it the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. Every detail in the house felt thoughtfully curated, adding to the overall sense of comfort and quality. The location is also a real highlight. Being in Senglea allowed us to experience the authentic charm of one of Malta’s most picturesque cities, while still enjoying very easy access to Valletta via the nearby ferry — a convenient and scenic way to get around. Overall, a fantastic stay that we would happily recommend to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable base in Malta!

Lovely quiet location in a very pretty side street next to the marina and only 5 mins walk to the ferry that takes 10 mins to get to Valletta. Some great restaurants a few mins walk along the marina front.

Breakfast wasn't supplied. Location was fantastic. We often took the ferry to Valetta. It was a nice, quiet location with good natural light into the townhouse. Kitchen, though small, was well appointed.

There was a smell of rising damp in the basement. One of the guests uses a CPAP machine so wanted to use the sofa bed, but never did. We never used the living room in the basement. Very few coffee pods/ tea bags were supplied: ungenerous.

The property is well located in Senglea, has a nice layout, with side sea views which can be enjoyed from the balcony or the front door, and the property is adequately equipped.

The basement - that is the living room - is unusable. The mold and musty smell coming from there is so strong that we could only stay in the kitchen for a maximum of 20 minutes to have dinner. The bedroom was the only decent space we could make use of. By the end of our stay, it had gotten so bad that we didn’t even sleep there on the last night, and my partner had to seek medical attention for the allergy caused by the mold. The matter was raised with the company and they promised to address the matter.

Traditional Maltese stone terrace with plenty of natural light in the kitchen & bedroom. Easy walk to foreshore, shops & transport. New renovation, clean & tidy. Bed very comfortable, great bathroom & perfect washing machine!

Unfortunately we could not use the lounge area as the basement was musty with no air flow & we could not get the tv to work. The AC was a little noisy. We sent many messages with videos as instructed on both the AC & TV but nothing was ever resolved.
