Fable Cottage Luxurious Stay

Nothing really

It wasn't luxurious. Bathroom downstairs very steep stairs and open plan stairs. No signal for WiFi. Had to make over 27 phone calls to try and get entry to the property and waited over an hour and half. Food debris in the grill. Couldn't watch tv as there was no sky box and the tv just kept whirling round the wheel of doom. Wheelie bins overflowing so couldn't sit in the garden. Stayed one night and had enough. Asked for a refund for our second night but still waiting. I explained my husband has cancer and I have arthritis and he needs to be near a Bathroom and we were not told it was downstairs. Really disappointed as we have been ignored because of the refund request.

It's up an extremely steep hill which was a real issue for my elderly in laws

Lovely property, made excellent use of all of the space, really comfortable with excellent views. The parking is a bonus, as is the excellent book collection!

Just be wary of the stairs! Typical of a property of its type though.

Really bad smell from the dishwasher. Very steep stairs with handrail falling off the wall. No milk in the fridge on arrival, lots of cracks and scuffs on walls. The bedrooms are upstairs but the bathroom is all the way downstairs and through the kitchen. With the stairs and the bathroom downstairs I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility issues Seemed to be run by Bots and not very personable. Before check in I had to verify my identify by uploading a photo of my ID and had a lot of trouble with the website. It was like crystal maze to try and get the details for the property and how to enter.

Great location!

Very dirty and very dusty. The images look amazing…. In reality it’s not so. The uncleanliness really spoilt our stay. All the appliances, pots, pans etc were dirty too!
