This is a spacious, light, airy, recently-renovated, well-appointed, and completely comfortable apartment. The host was gracious and helpful in every way. Although the building is on a well-trafficked street and next to a very busy shopping district, our apartment at the back of the building, with a balcony facing a courtyard, was serenely quiet. The location is convenient in every way. A full service supermarket is quite nearby, and the central tourist district / old city is practically adjacent. Chania is a lovely town, and we were glad that we spent a full week, the bulk of our stay in Crete, there. (We arrived in Crete via Heraklion, with its desirable proximity to the important Knossos site, but would not have wanted to stay longer than the few days that we were there before traveling west.) The shops are inviting, and the restaurants plentiful. There is much of historical interest, and there are lovely beaches nearby. Also, there is ready access to the more distant beaches on the west coast. Crete is exceedingly welcoming to tourists, and English is widely and well spoken.

If you have a car, which is a necessity for getting to lovely out-of-the-way beaches, olive presses, etc., be aware that parking is a Manhattan-like challenge. The free public lots are distant and jammed, and the paid lots are costly. We managed to find curb-side parking at not-too-great a distance but it took some hunting.

It was noisy because of the road and we hadn’t realised there were so many stairs. The balcony was rather cramped

This property is very well located in walking distance of all Chania has to offer. The bus station with buses all over the island is just across the road . The apartment has all mod cons, is tastefully decorated and despite being in town was extremely peaceful. The host was very pleasant and we have no hesitation in recommending you stay at Cherry Central. We had a lovely stay.

We loved absolutely everything about this apartment/home! Mr. Lefteris met us upon arrival to give us the keycard, he is so kind, helpful and omg his home has so many cool features to make everything easier! The trash lid opened when you open the cabinet door, the a/c turns off when you open the windows / doors which is brilliant and when you leave but its not hot inside when you return, still very cool! Its very clean and tidy, pics don't do it justice! The location is fabulous, walking distance to everything! Mr. Lefteris and the Greek hospitality on a whole was absolutely wonderful! I really appreciated the traditional Raki drink he had for us as well! Thank you for making our stay easy! I highly recommend and would return anytime!

I have no complaints! Everything was perfect and I was celebrating my 50th so thank you again for making it wonderful!

Exactly as pictured. All amenities were there and the location was super central so easy to get around. The staff were friendly and helped me with my luggage up the stairs. As a young female solo traveller, I felt very safe here and would highly recommend. The key locks are electronic and there’s a screen for the door bell too

10am check out was very early, ideally would have been nice to have it later

The apartment was fully equipped with all the essentials. The location was absolutely perfect for enjoying the old town and the new city of Chania but also because it is located right next to the bus station it is very convenient for daily trips to the beaches by frequent public transport if one doesn’t want to rent a car.
