The cottage room had that vintage 1980s look, but was not run down. It was maintained and clean. It was nice to open the windows and get the fresh mountain air and hear the river. The Onsen was nice, just make sure you understand the procedure before going.

Staff seemed very nervous to interact with me in english, but were nice. There is no soaking in the onsen in the late morning, so if you want one more soak before check-out, you have to go early in the morning.

You can walk from Kinugawa Onsen station, no need to drive. People are friendly and the front desk people are bilinguals, very helpful. The convenience store is just a block away. The best thing was that we saw monkeys! I will definitely go back again!

We got two rooms for ourselves and our daughter and her boyfriend. The refrigerators in both rooms aren’t working. The toilet doors make squeaky noises every time open/close, it was ok day time, but worried in night time because I didn’t want to wake up my husband.

温泉が混まずゆったりとでき、シャンプー、リンス、ボディソープの備え付けがありドライヤーも充分な数がありしっかり使えた。 お風呂のところに給水があるのも良い。 朝食の量もちょうどよく美味しい…準備も早かった。 部屋からの川の景色も良かった。

コテージまでの道が暗く夜は出歩けなかった。 露天は外から丸見え感があった。 吸わない側としては喫煙所はもう少し隔離して欲しい。
