Apartment is clean and comfortable. Great neighborhood! There are butcher and market in the building. Apartment is very close to the beach. Owner called few times to ask if we need anything, they gave us double towels. Very nice place to stay with family or in couple.

I am a frequent traveler. I go to different hotels and apartments around the world twice a month on average. This was by far my worst experience so far. If you want hot water, you will have to press a button, wait 20 min, and then switch it off because if you forget and shower it is very dangerous apparently, because the heating/electricity system is close to the water. I am sure this thing must be illegal, especially if you are renting out your apartment. On top of this, the head of the shower can not be hang anywhere so you will have to keep it yourself with one of your hands and wash your body with the other…also, the draining system does not work, so when you shower the bathroom will flood. The apartment has no coffee machine. When I mentioned that to the owner, he said "oh no there is one". I replied, no, I am sorry I see none. And then he stopped replying. The airport transportation scam: I read in other reviews on booking that the owner offers to pick up at the airport. Hence I inquiried about this possibility. The owner replied that the price for that is 20 euros. First, 20 euros for 2km by a private car?? You better walk for 26 minutes. Second, too bad that I am. also a frequent traveler to Corfu and I know very well that the taxi from the airport costs 5 EUR during the day and 15 if you arrive in the middle of the night (I.e. after midnight). And to conclude, the worst possible issue: there is zero noise isolation. I woke up in the middle of the night because someone sneezed on one floor up. In the morning I could hear the alarm of the person in the apartment next to this one. You can also hear people chatting as if they were inside the apartment. And since guys in corfu go out often, this implies that you will be woken up by people entering the building and speaking multiple times at night. This was even worse for me, since I was on a business trip and needed to be fully rested during the day.

The area is very good, because you have very close the bus station(2A) who can take you directly to the old town center, and the airport is also very close. Also there is a mini market in front of the building, which is great.

What I am writing now is also a lesson for me. I should already now from past experience’s that the apartments don’t look every time like in the photos. The apartment is very old, and it needs immediately little renovations. It’s an old building, and there is always a bad smell ,especially on the balcony,and you can easily hear the neighbors. Also, there are a lot of things that can be improved and I am certain that won’t cost a fortune. Please keep in mind that I know the price was cheaper, but i wished to be more cleaner and better like in the photos they present.

The apartment is small but cute and quite comfortable. It’s compact, there’s a double bed with a tv, A/C, a fridge, all the kitchen cupboards, a small table, and a toilet with a shower. There’s one window and a small balcony. The view from the window is nice and pleasant. The location is great, it’s not far from the city centre and you can either walk or take the bus 2A that stops right next to the flat. There’s a mini market and a butcher right downstairs and is super comfy for shopping because it stays open until 10PM. The owner is very nice and helpful and always available.

I’d say the only downside is that the towels and bedsheets didn’t get replaced as promised, but nothing that couldn’t get fixed with the washing machine available in the flat. Bare in mind that the washing machine is in Greek, so we had to look for the English manual of the model of the machine to get the exact instructions. The other point is that the walls are quite thin and if you’re a light sleeper like me, you may hear things all day long, but nothing that can’t be fixed with earplugs (for sleeping) or headphones for example.. Overall I’m satisfied and I would definitely recommend and go back!
