Upon arrival, I was hassled to pay the electricity, which was not part of the listing.I refused as I told them they couldn't spring that on me upon arrival. Ran out of electricity 4 times once at midnight and had to stay up until they arrived to pay their bill. Once in the morning at 5 am when I was leaving for an excursion. I had to pack in the dark with my phone flashlight and no shower, prior to a 13-hour excursion, because there was no hot water. Somebody, "the manager," flipped a breaker off to try and keep the electricity down. It was not tripped it was off and tucked under a metal plate that would be 100% impossible to happen unless someone did it. I had to use a knife to pry it back to the on position. Black mold growing on ceilings and walls. On a couple of occasions, I had someone walk in while I was sitting there. Constantly, people tried to get in, but the door was locked while I was there, after all the issues. On a couple of other occasions, somebody was in the apartment and ran out as I went into the utility room. The door was locked, and I didn't have a key. The owner and manager explained to me that it was the wind that unlocked the door and then blew it closed as I walked back into the utility room. Apartment workers smoking weed while hiding under the pool access area. Absolutely filthy gym. I have worked out for 35 years, and it was the nastiest gym I had ever been in. Turned my shorts black lifting in there. The owner is so worried about the electrical billl but there are places in the huge windows you can simply stick your hand through. Running the A/C in the living room would only allow 80 degrees Fahrenheit at the coldest temp or 28 Celsius, I think it is. I asked to set a move out date so I could find another place to stay, but the owner refused to refund any of my money, so I was forced to stay. Messaged booking.com 2 times trying to get help and received nothing in return. No returned messages.
