Bayraktar Konağı City Center

I got a borrowed bike, which was super nice.

I stayed one night and never met the person in charge. My check in was made by one guy that works at the gas station. The AC did not worked, and as was no person in charge I slept all night in a sauna, waking up every two hours to get cold shower in order to try to sleep again.

Great hospitality and beautiful old building. Everything was clean and tidy.

The lady who checked me in and did breakfast was friendly and kind. We got along with my v small amount of Turkish and sign language. The location was good.

The toilet and bathroom were dirty and on the pile of 'clean towels' one was dirty. I emailed a message asking them to clean and saying that breakfast was 30 mins later than agreed (we'd agreed 8am). However when I returned later that day it had not been cleaned with the excuse that "we don't go in when guests aren't there" which is not helpful... The next day there was no breakfast even by 9am so I left and got breakfast opposite the bus station as I had place to go... Poor service and way too expensive for what you got. Also I was supposed to have room with terrace overlooking garden. Instead there was no terrace attached and a view of another building. Instead I was pointed to a terrace beyond the corridor which looked onto main road and petrol station...

A very quaint and historical place to stay in Demre. With few places to stay near the bus station and north of the major highway this place has large rooms that seemed well insulated and cool on a warm day. Handy to the Lycian tombs and to the Saint Nicholas museum. Very comfortable with a nice shaded upstairs sitting area.

The breakfast that was included was a no show by the time we left at 9:00 am.

A lovely apartment, tastefully furnished in a traditional style, clean, spacious. A very nice host, kind and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Excellent wifi.

The location of Bayracktar was perfect for us. It is within walking distance of the bus station and also to visit the Church of St Nicolas and the ruins at Myra. It is an older building with charming decorative features. The breakfast was perfect— delicious — prepared and served with care. The proprietor was helpful in adjusting the meal time and ordering a taxi to meet our travel plans.
