Muffins Meadow Shepherds Hut

An absolute gem in the countryside. Muffins Shepherds Hut was superb. It had everything you could ask for. The hosts have an amazing eye for detail and great taste in their decor. Loved there was milk, tea and coffee, amongst other goodies for us on arrival, great touch as my partner loves a cuppa. The digger that was converted in to a fire pit, such a clever idea. The hut itself, whan can I say, the restoration was clearly done with love and a lot of thought, even down to light switches and plug sockets. The local pub, The Fox and Hound was a splendid way to spend our Valentines, a warm welcome for us and our dog, the dinner was yum. The local post office/ shop had a great selection, we recommend the fresh sausages. So many friendly people. I could go on. We will definitely return. Our pup made friends with the hosts two dogs, he will want to return also. Thank you so much for having us. See you again soon

Feel like I found a little gem. Jenny was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. Beautiful inside and out, all the little trinkets and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The fire pit was lovely to sit outside on a cold dry night. Will definitely be back soon.

There’s wasn’t a thing we didn’t like!

We had an amazing weekend at this lovely hut! Jenny was very friendly and welcoming. The hut itself was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the best parts was how pet-friendly it was—they even provided dog towels and blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our dog absolutely loved running around the farm, which was spacious and safe for off-leash fun. Another highlight was the outdoor setup—firewood and charcoal were generously provided, making it easy to enjoy a BBQ and a warm fire in the evening. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and pet-friendly escape!

Cosy hut in a great location that had everything you needed. Was able to relax and unwind in the countrysidez Well layed out and very cosy with the outside fire. Jenny was very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely recommend family & friends to stay here! A hidden gem!

We recently spent Christmas in this charming shepherd’s hut in Tillingham, and what a delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes – Jenny and Tony truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. They even had festive touches like fairy lights and a little Christmas tree around the hut, which made it all feel extra special. The cost was incredibly reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the facilities. The hut itself was beautifully crafted, cosy, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was impeccable – from the snug bedding to a comprehensive kitchenette and thoughtful extras like local guides and maps. The electric heating was the icing on the cake, keeping us toasty throughout our stay. One of the standout features was the enclosed area, perfect for our dog 'Bailey' to run around safely. It’s such a rare find, and it meant we could relax. The local area is an absolute haven for dog lovers, with plenty of picturesque walks right on the doorstep. Every path we took offered stunning views of serene countryside – a true escape from the hustle and bustle. Jenny and Tony’s hospitality, combined with the beautiful surroundings and fantastic facilities, made this a perfect getaway. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of luxury and plenty of dog-friendly perks, this shepherd’s hut is an absolute gem. We’re already planning our return visit! Highly recommended – you won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely loved staying at Muffins Meadow Shepherds Hut, I've never felt more cozy and snug. It's such a cute, small little place that is perfect for a little get-away. The host is very friendly and has thought of absolutely everything, even has spare chargers in case you've forgotten any! I ended up staying here twice while working in the local area, and it was perfect.
