Sincere Wilderness Home stay

La habitacion es muy linda con vistas a la ciudad. Pero lo mejor es la amabilidad de Romeni, su madre y su marido. Tienes opcion de cena en la habitacion y el desayuno en casa de Romeni. Ella es súper atenta y servicial. Lo reconiendo.

Fuimos un dia en el que hacia frío y es verdad que en la habitacion hace humedad del frio del propio ambiente. En nuestro caso, Romeni nos puso muchas mantas y bolsa de agua caliente, por lo que no necesitamos mas. La habitacion tambien tenia chinenea que supongo que la encenderan en dias mas frios. Por lo demas, muy recomendable.

The family who owns the cottage are extremely friendly and welcoming. They provide an amazing dining option with traditional Sri Lankan food as well as breakfast, also gluten free options as my partner has a gluten intolerance. We had an amazing hiking tour around the village provided by them. It felt like home. Wonderful stay! I wish all the best to this amazing family!

Increíble amabilidad de Romanie y si madre

L’hospitalitat de la familia i l’ambient de muntanya que s’hi respira. El menjar estava boníssim

Het regende en waaide hard en het was 15C. Er was geen verwarming dus al onze nat geregende kleding bleef kletsnat, daarom zijn we na een al nacht vertrokken. Gelukkig kregen we wel extra dekens.

The property is a lovely family home just outside the centre of Nuwara Eliya with a beautiful view of the town from the window. The room was spacious and very cosy, as it is a little cold and damp there, but they provide plenty of blankets. We had breakfast and dinner there, and the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious so would recommend this. They provide options for daytime activities including hikes and tuktuk tours, and if you are here for longer then you have options to go further afield for hikes. The hosts were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and picked us up from the station and dropped us off again. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan experience, and who enjoys outdoor activities and Sri Lankan food. Nuwara Eliya is a must see destination if you are travelling Sri Lanka!

There are no toiletries other than soap, so make sure you bring your own, and also bring warm layers for the evenings!

L’ambiance chaleureuse, l’aspect « cottage » de l’établissement, sa localisation proche du centre-ville de Nuwara Eliya, la gentillesse de Romeni et sa famille, le dîner et le petit-déjeuner qui étaient délicieux

Das Homestay liegt auf einem Berg mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht über Nuwara Eliya. Die Hosts sind super lieb und haben uns herzlich aufgenommen. Wir haben uns direkt wohl und fast wie ein Teil der Familie gefühlt. Das Frühstück war mit das beste was wir nach fast 2 Wochen Sri Lanka hatten und das Abendessen auch. Wir können sehr empfehlen es an einem Abend zu essen. Sie haben sich um eine Abholung zu einem günstigen Preis vom Bahnhof in Nanuoya, eine Tour durch die Umgebung und auch den Rücktransport nach Nanuoya gekümmert. Die Tour können wir ebenfalls sehr empfehlen.

Es ist im Zimmer, vor allem Abends, schon ein bisschen kalt. Es gab aber sehr dicke Decken und eine extra Wärmflasche, wodurch es für uns auch kein Problem und sogar eher schön kuschelig war.
