The property is a traditional trullo in a trulli residential area outside Ostuni. It is in good condition and gives you an experience of living in these interesting buildings for a few days. The basic pool is well maintained by the owner.

The rental was expensive for the basic amenities, at around £210/night in early September, plus local taxes. The kitchen is equipped OK, but there was no microwave ( as advertised), and the BBQ was a rickety old rusty box which could never be used nowadays. The trulli was advertised as suitable for four adults, but the sofa bed was only just big enough and adequate for our slim teenage girls. It is OK generally, and gives you the trullo experience, but should be advertised at a lower fee for the quality and basic standard. Finally, the owners insisted on a £500 cash deposit upon arrival ( returned upon leaving ), which is inconvenient and seems excessive in the modern day of cards/credit, and leaves you with additional conversation charges and too much cash to carry about afterwards.

Authentiek. Je hebt het hele terrein voor jezelf. Het is heerlijk rustig. De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn goed te bereiken en behulpzaam.

Voor iedereen anders maar voor ons was het matras niet fijn.
