St Austell Central Apartment

Fantastic friendly guy met us on arrival. I booked this for my parents for somewhere to stay during moving between houses. Sean was a great host. It was nice to know he was close by if my parents needed anything.

Welcoming amiable hosts who lived above and worked next door so readily available and happy to help. Location a 2 minute walk from the bus/rail station hub so it was ideal for accessing transport to coastal and inland walks, towns, Heligan and other gardens, and the Eden Project. Next door to Farmfoods for basics and a short walk into town for other shops, takeaways, pubs. Incredibly quiet area in a little back street - little or no traffic overnight. Some Fri/Sat evening street noise around 11pm from people heading to the nearby club but after that there was nothing loud enough to wake us up. They must all go home a different way! It is more likely louder with a window open but the hosts supply ear plugs. The flat is bigger than it looks in the photos with comfy settees and bed. Instant hot water. Full size fridge-freezer and oven. The bedroom has a large chest of drawers with lots of storage space, bedside cupboards and a clothes rail. Room heaters quickly took any chill off in the evening. Four of the double wall sockets included USB ports so charging up several devices at once was easy. We'd certainly stay here again.

Would have given a 9, but the bed frame made some loud cracking sounds but apparently it’s about to be replaced. Something to ask about when you book.

Sean was very responsive to questions before arrival and very welcoming and helpful when we got there. The apartment is clean, well fitted out and has the facilities as stated online plus a few extra nice touches. It is in an excellent location for central St Austell and easy to get in and out of by car for travel around the area. The paid car park across the road is a small fee per 24 hours and you can come and go within that time period. We would happily come back again.

Lovely apartment has everything you need for a week’s holiday, central 5 min walk to st austell town centre, hosts were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Loved it so much that we r booking for next year .

There was nothing we didn’t like

Very clean and modern, bed very comfortable.

Shower a bit small, and TV reception poor.

Property is spacious, well equipped, really clean. Big carpark just in front.

Slightly soft bed but that’s personal preference.

Once I’d bought a few staple items of food then the fact that there was a fridge freezer, toaster & microwave, plus a conventional oven & hob in the property, was perfect.

It was a little cold upon arrival. It seemed to get dusty very easily, but there was a vacuum cleaner, brush & dustpan etc which were very handy.
