Bird Village Guesthouse Rook

What an amazing place for such an affordable price. I found the floor futon to be quite comfortable. Good hot water, convenient little kitchenette. Quiet, residential neighborhood with nearby convenience and grocery stores, close to bamboo grove and river. Used buses to go everywhere. The woman who lives on property is really sweet, speaks Korean only, just few English words. If you’re looking for peace, quiet and simple authentic place look no further. Also has very good AC and wifi. Loved my stay here. She even brought me tomatoes and cooked eggs one day. You can use Papago translation app to communicate if needed. My favorite stay so far in Korea in terms of price, value, comfort, authenticity and kindness of the host.

Check in was confusing. The gate was closed and no one answered the phone. I contacted booking and then she came out to greet me. You can pull the string to open the gate which I didn’t know. Height of bathroom might be issue for taller folks.

Very clean and spacious. Close to bus stop. Surrounded with a lot of stores. Close to bamboo groove park. Matches the pictures and descriptions. Very good price.

I was greeted with an absolutely lovely granny who was very helpful and considerate. The place is very humble but the price matches it very well. Nice quiet somewhat historical location 30 minutes walking distance from Ulsan University. Lots of authentic bars and restaurants around. Very clean accommodation.

This was my second time staying at this guest house. I really enjoyed my time here. I had a bigger little appartment than last time with a kitchenette. It is perfect for a couple days stay. I really enjoyed it here and if I am ever back, I will probably stay here again.

The guest house is located in a quieter part of Ulsan. It is a close walk away from the Taehwa river, migratory bird centre and Jeonggwangsa temple. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of the neighbourhood and surrounding areas.

The beds are futons. I did not mind at all and welcomed the experience, but if you have a sensitive back or don't want to sleep on the floor, it is maybe not for you.

The Bird Village Guesthouse was located in the heart of bird village in Ulsan. It was our first time in Ulsan, but I would certainly say it was a nice and charming quiet neighborhood. The owner was a kind woman who greeted us when we entered and helped us get settled. We had no problem parking right outside. The price was fair, especially split between several travelers we saved money and still had a more unique experience than staying in a hotel.
