Nestled in what seems to be the heart of the countryside but yet only 10 minutes from the coast is this beautiful 16th century(I think) property that has been transformed into an idyllic getaway location. It’s peaceful and relaxing and a great base to travel to all the nearby towns and villages along the Jurassic coast. Linda was welcoming and friendly and greeted us aswell as showing us around the property. The property itself is of a high standard with modern appliances and comfortable furniture. I had quite possibly the best 4 nights sleep in the king size bed than I have in my own all year. This is because once the lights are out it’s pitch black and not a murmur of disturbance. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The price was great as well especially compared to other properties in this affluent area of Devon.

The Tranquil Annex is in a lovely quiet location and has a very nice garden. The cottage is very pretty and attractively decorated. It’s clean and well equipped. The owner has a Pilates studio in the garden so there was the opportunity to have a Pilates session whilst there. We would highly recommend it.
