Merzouga Nights Camp

Séjourner au Merzouga Berber Family Camp a été une expérience vraiment spéciale. Notre hôte nous a accueillis avec gentillesse et nous a fait sentir chez nous dès le début. La promenade à dos de chameau dans les dunes au coucher du soleil était magique, suivie d'un délicieux dîner traditionnel autour du feu de camp avec de la musique berbère. Les tentes étaient confortables et l'atmosphère était chaleureuse et authentique. Le matin, nous avons savouré un bon petit-déjeuner avant de retourner au village. Si vous recherchez une expérience authentique dans le désert avec une véritable hospitalité berbère, ce camp est le choix parfait. Hautement recommandé !

Ik bezocht Merzouga met mijn vriendin en we wilden iets traditioneels in de woestijn. De Merzouga Camping Trek was precies wat we hoopten: authentiek, warm en echt in Berberstijl. Het kamp was eenvoudig maar comfortabel, de kamelentocht de duinen in was onvergetelijk, en Mohamed was erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Een echte woestijnervaring!

Eerlijk gezegd was alles geweldig – we hadden alleen gewild dat we langer hadden kunnen blijven!

Nous avons fait une promenade à dos de chameau au coucher du soleil, un délicieux dîner et une observation des étoiles. Ensuite, nous avons vu le lever du soleil sur les dunes. I was a solo traveller for a week in Morocco, wondering if a trip to desert is worth a whole day drive from Marrakesh and then another day to the coast. Let me say, it was definately worth it. One of the best experienced I‘ve had so far and definately the highlight of the year. Being swamped up by the offers of luxury camps, I just simply wanted to experience the desert how it is, with all of its beauty and roughness. This was exactly what I was looking for. We have left with Mohamed and two camels to the dunes to set a camp for a night there. Mohamed was taking a great care of his camels showing them the respect they deserve, after all they are definately magnificent beasts. While I was taking breath taking pictures of the sunset, Mohamed and his friends set a campfire and set up the tent for me to spend the night there. They‘ve prepared a delicious and authentic dinner for me. After the dinner I could tirelessly stare in the overwhelming amount of stars and the milky way and speak with Mohamed about the desert and Morocan/Berber life and customs for hours. Definately seeing the desert through his eyes will stay in my memory for years. I would wish to have so much unconditional love to the area I come from. Even though I don‘t have much experience with camping, the tent was comfortable and I‘ve got a pretty good sleep. I‘ve woken up for the sunrise and another photo session of impressive dunes. In the morning Mohamed set up a campfire again to prepare a delicious breakfast for me. In the morning after leaving the desert I could take a shower before my whole day drive to the coast. I don‘t think there was another place where I could experience the overwhelming Moroccan/Berber hospitality more than there. Without a doubt, a must do activity while visiting beautiful Morocco.

Me and my Girlfriend wanted to experience the deeper Desert. It was an absolutely great experience. I would recommend to do more than one night. We stayed to nights. So we had one hole day in the deeper desert. Mohammed, the guide is such a great Person. We became immediately friends and it felt just like hanging around together. He is a great cook, knows a lot about the desert, treat's his Camels really good and always has a Plan B, if the weather changes. The nights were as comfortable as they could be in the desert. Sandy but everything was clean. If you want more than just "see" the desert, you should definitely do that tour.

My wife and I had the most beautiful memory of our travels in Morocco when we spent a night at a camp. The warm welcome we received was always accompanied by mint tea, We were guided by Mohamed and his two camels, Bobby and Jimmy. We will never forget those moments and we thank Mohamed again for his professionalism, Highly recommend
