Abbey View Cottage Extension

Nice quiet enough location view of Jerpoint Abbey, and I'd recommend visiting the abbey. Close to Thomastown and Kilkenny town. The stove is good for heating the place in winter. It's a nice cosy kitchen and living area. Perfect size for a couple. The air fryer is great and I had never used one before. Hosts had prepared the place very well with everything ready to make tea with biscuits, plenty of fuel for the stove. The house was nice and clean.

The mattress was a bit soft. The radiator or water pipes (or maybe something else) made a loud noise which woke us up several times during the night. Maybe the heating could be adjusted to prevent this, we only stayed one night. Also we're both light sleepers so maybe others would sleep through it. Over all it's a lovely place to stay.

Comfy bed, possibility to light the fire, in general good facilities. Owner communicates well. Close to local amenities.

Maybe a little chilly in the evening but I was able to light a fire in the stove.

Comfort of the bed, hot shower, appliances in the kitchen, dual airfryer and hot plates, comfy sofa and of course the view of abbey from the windows all make this property one to remember. Close proximity to Thomastown and Mt Juliet are added bonuses. SupaValu supermarket in Thomastown means you can bring home a prepared meal and save a little on eating out.

No cheat sheet for the airfryer, i don't own one so pushed many buttons before i got it going, but when it did it was very good. Can even do toast. Bathroom also upstairs, and stairs are steep but go slowly and they are fine. We left all bags downstairs.

Das Cottage macht einen gemütlichen Eindruck und war auch sehr sauber gewesen.

Leider ist das Licht im Haus sehr schlecht, in der Küche sieht man zum arbeiten fast nichts und im Bad gibt es gar kein Licht. Außerdem wären sowohl im Bad als auch im Schlafzimmer Ablagemöglichkeiten oder Hacken dringend notwendig.

La struttura ci ha trasmesso un senso di casa, molto accogliente.

Manca poter accendere la luce sulle scale dal piano di sopra per scendere.
