Wareham Forest Lodge Retreat

The location

The oven wasn't working. We attempted to use it and had to call the site for help. It couldnt be fixed and we had to throw food away., the shower broke, lights were faulty and flashed. We were told our food shopping couldn't be brought by Asda to our lodge and we had to collect it from reception due to small roads, yet a huge rubbish truck was allowed around the site.

The chalet that I was given was amazing! It was the perfect size for me and my friend and had everything that we could need. The park itself was incredibly quiet and peaceful and allowed us to enjoy our break with any disturbance. The park is perfectly located with the area being extremely quiet and low traffic and most holiday musts I.e. monkey world, sea life museum, Weymouth beach etc being less than an hours drive.

The heating system was a bit tricky to figure out and no instructions were left for it but otherwise worked well!

The site is very well run and quiet. Its location is ideal for people without a car . The 40 breezer bus connecting Poole and Swanage via numerous beauty spots stops right at the gates. Taxis from Wareham where there are lots of restaurants are about £11. There is a pub 200 yards away but we didn't try it this time The kitchen equipment is all top notch. Big fridge freezer, dishwasher, washer/drier, full size hob and electric fan oven. Lots of pots and pans

It's a bit more worn than when it first opened obviously so some of the living room furniture is not so good but for the off season price it's a bargain.

Clean, spacious, good kitchen, good hot tub which was hot even in January. Central heating was warm even in January. Parking for 1 car Great location, went on lots of winter walks Very clean, the kitchen had lots of utensils that were laid out beautifully. Very quiet (but both lodges next to us were empty) Comfy beds, nice hot showers. Aldi within an 8min drive

The hot tub is checked, but it appears they must have added more chlorine on the second day as we felt itchy in the hot tub on the 2nd evening and 3rd day

This was just what I wonted spacious tidy comfortable quiet plenty of wildlife in the woods to see the bed was comfortable will definitely be going back.

Unfortunately when using the shower over the bath the water leaks over the top and bottom of the shower screen no matter what I tried. The pots and pans ect need to be checked for cleanliness before next costumes arrive needing to sign in to wifi once or twice a day miner faults.
