Waikiki Beach Golden Holiday

The beds are very comfortable. The view is great and I often sat on the veranda and watched a baseball game or a soccer game at the fields directly in front of the room. A group of Hawaiian people do singing practice most evenings and they are very talented. The 7eleven is one minute walk away which has very cheap and delicious meals. There is also a food truck area with around 20 food trucks a two minute walk away. There is an excellent Japanese massage lady a 5 minute walk away, I highly recommend her, best massage I’ve ever had. Honua Therapeutic Massage, EATON SQUARE SUITE #315, 438 HOBRON LANE, HONOLULU, great prices too! My daughter and I love thrifting. There are many thrift shops in the area with only a five minute drive to each. We recommend Mo'ili ili Community Centers Thrift Store if you get sick of the huge savers and goodwill thrift shops which are also very close. I loved the 11 am checkout time too.

The beach is no where near this accommodation. It is a 6 minute Uber ride with no traffic and takes over 20 minutes to walk to the closest beach which is Kahanamoku Beach, it isn’t the nicest beach we went to due to major construction work on a nearby hotel which is very noisy when laying on the beach. There are a large set of stairs to the reception area which is difficult to get luggage up to. The lobby is old and worn and the washing machine on level 11 was broken, not that it mattered because the washing machines couldn’t be used with a debit card and I didn’t feel comfortable using my credit card in the laundry room with open access to everyone . The paintings above the lounge room bed fell off the wall a few times with the door opened and I found the stainless steel cook ware hard to use as everything stuck to it even when using oil. Some tongs and tea towels in the kitchen would have been good. There is a sad dog either next to or above the apartment that whimpers for hours in the morning when its owner leaves. I never was woken by this though and this is mainly residential apartments so this sort of thing is common for the setting. In saying that I am glad I stayed here in conjunction with a stay in another apartment a 5 minute walk to the beach as this stay showed another side of the city which we really enjoyed.

Terrific stays in Hawaii Beach Golden Holiday! Enthusiastic owner, super clean rooms, various furnitures, and wonderful scene outside, there are hundreds of reasons which make me would like to have another stay for next visiting Hawaii!

The location is quite convenient to reach all the points of interest in Waikiki. It is slightly noisy at night, but overall for the price point this is a great property. Our host is easy to communicate with. We had an issue with WiFi and it was resolved in a day. The property is up-to-date and offers a lot of useful amenities.

The building is dated compared to other newer hotels in Waikiki. We found some ants in the kitchen, but not a deal breaker. Considering the price point, this is a good accommodation choice for families visiting Honolulu.
