"Disappointing, could be so much better."

7.0

The location with its spectacular sea view was super and the properties biggest asset. There was plenty of space for all of us inside and the children loved running round and round as one of the living rooms has 2 doors. It is always a bonus to have a washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher and a small freezer. Having a high chair provided was very helpful. Two sitting rooms with a TV in each was a bonus. The living room with sea view is a lovely bright room as is the downstairs double bedroom. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery (adult sizes only) utensils, pots and pans but no scissors. The outside tap was useful.

The whole place is quite tired, particularly the furnishings. All four sofas are very low making it difficult to stand up. The accommodation is for 8, there should have been 8 of us, but it is not possible to seat 8 around either of the tables, especially as there are only 6 dining chairs and 3 of those were very unstable - we had to bang the legs back in on occasions. As the 2 tables are in different rooms it isn't possible to all sit together and the second table only has heavy benches. Although the king size bed was very comfortable and fairly new the double bed downstairs was way too soft and appeared fairly elderly. There is a distinct lack of drawer space in the two double bedrooms and no wardrobe either in the upstairs double. The bedrooms are carpeted but other areas are not, that's ok except the paint has peeled off in some areas such as bathrooms. The rug in the kitchen/living room is dangerous as it slides very easily, one of the children fell over on it. The microwave, though useful, is very well used and paint is peeling off. The garden could do with a lot of tidying up. Particularly the brambles growing around the front steps to the front door and the brambles, nettles and thistles down the side where cars park. We have a very little car, there is very little space to walk around the car, avoiding the weeds was impossible and very wet after the rain! The parking next to the road is also very narrow - so don't bring a large car, we couldn't park both our cars there and get out of the car due to the wooden posts. The picnic bench (for 6 max) in the front garden was green from the weather. We couldn't sit out there as there was nothing to stop the children running into the road. The back garden is very rough and unkempt with a rusty old BBQ that had collapsed and ash left out and rubbish around the garage, old garden chairs etc. This really detracts from the attractiveness of the property and its location.

"We had a lovely stay at the house. Pleased we pre ordered a click and collect order in Liskeard."

Sitting in front garden in the evening enjoying the sea view and sunset. Very well equipped kitchen. Spacious house. Two bedrooms downstairs was good.

We were told there was parking for two cars but initially couldn’t work out where that was. From the photo it looks like a sweeping drive up to the bungalow but saw that isn’t the case. Only path size. In front of house is a kind of pull in that has bollards across the front so we thought that was the parking and parked there ( albeit tight) backing both cars in. Then we realised there was a driveway a few yards along belonging to the house but was narrow and overgrown. We then started to park up there but on exiting the car had to walk in to long overgrown grass and even bramble bushes. The driveway does need to be kept more accessible and parking area clearer.
