Very comfortable beds. Quiet at night. Location is good. Communication with the host was excellent. All our needs were met.

There was a coffee machine with Bialetti brand capsules, but there were no capsules provided. We couldn’t find this brand in the stores so we didn’t have coffee at the place.

The apartment is located very close to the cathedral. Communication with the owner was fantastic, always responding quickly, very friendly!! The apartment is very comfortable and clean, it has all the services, hair dryer, iron... The best thing, the bed is very spacious and very comfortable. We have had a spectacular week, thank you very much!!

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

The apartment was very close to the city centre, about 5 minutes walk. It was clean and it had everything you could need during your stay. The host was helpful and responded quickly if I had a question. We arrived around 9 in the morning and she was kind enough to let us check in as soon as we arrived. We did self check in which was smooth and quick.

The only negative I can mention is that the neighbours were a bit loud, but that is not the hosts fault.

Clean and comfortable,near city center

Convenient location, only a 10 minute walk from the city centre, though it's in a very narrow alley and it's hard to find nearby parking. We used a private parking lot about 10 minutes away which worked well for us. Great communication from staff, and very lovely host. Well equipped flat, provides some basic staples if you want to cook, proved useful to have a first aid kit. Really nice touch to have a map of main attractions and restaurant suggestions.

Nothing major but we found a few insects here and there despite not leaving any door/window open.

The father of the host was very polite and picked us at the airport for 20eur and then helped us when we had problems with the key and entering the property.

Upon arrival Chiara (the host) didn't provide information that should be given to any visitor: First time we went out we could not come back into the property as the key didn't work. I had to buzz the neighbours to get in. After Chiara's father came to check I realised that the key didn't had to be pushed all the way in (but this is not obvious and the host should explain upon check in). There was fire and smoke smell as well from the property above us so I got worried and texted Chiara (she explained in Sicily that is normal as people do bbq, but that is not obvious in other countries and to be in a house when one has to close the windows to avoid smoke and fire smell coming in, is not normal). Comfort was much reduced since the shower is very narrow and there is no trade/shelf for shampoo/soap/body wash so it is very complicated to take a shower properly, and messy. The flat is very dark and if one opens the blinds there is not much privacy as anyone can easily see inside (they should install white shades), the living room is very small with a table right in the middle reducing free space. The flat is like 15/20 mins walk from the centre. It takes about 5 blocks before one starts seeing restaurants and night life closer to the centre. If we go again to Catania we will get something more central. There was no kettle to make tea either. Finally, we stayed in 2 other hotels in Sicily and the hosts were happy to stay in touch via whatsapp and they were extremely friendly. This host was quite cold and only wanted to keep basic communication on Booking.com chat
