Bergen city center apartment

The location of the property is amazing, right in the heart of Bergen and it’s very close to any attractions. The beds are comfortable. Water pressure in the shower is really good. There’s dishwasher and washing machine (no drier). Eivind, the owner, was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks for having us!

For people traveling with older folks, know that it’s located in a slope and car can’t drop you on the front door. You’d have to hike up to the parking lot area.

The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. The location was nicely located and a short walk to the best view of Bryggen! The host communicated well and was helpful with information.

The apartment was located on a steep cobbled hill, pedestrian only, difficult to navigate with luggage. There were a few awkward steps and no railing up to entrance. The lockbox was located next door up a different set of awkward steps, behind a low gate. We had to kneel on stone to get the lockbox open. That was uncomfortable and none of this was suitable for older travelers. Travelers with any impaired mobility might want to stay elsewhere. Also, directions on disposing of our own garbage was confusing. We would have had to walk several blocks away to unknown location with a key to unlock garbage, then return the key up the steep hill to apartment before leaving. This was a lot to expect from guests. Apartment us best for younger able bodied travelers with no luggage.

Everything was comfortable and nice. I felt the care and attention to detail in many areas. The communication with the host was the best!

When you first find a home and open the door, you need to be very careful. But that won't be such a problem over time.

It is a cosy place in a great location with plenty of space for a family. The bathroom was lovely and warm, with lots of towels provided.

Overall the place is more outdated than the pictures suggest. Some specific issues include poor quality bedding, in particular the pillows which need replacing, although it was clean. Surprisingly it was quite noisy in the night as you can hear people above and below - one of the beds is right underneath the staircase to the above property so you get woken up if they go up or down.

Fantastic location, easy to walk everywhere and only 2 mins to a grocery shop. The kitchen was fully stocked, so cooking was easy. Comfy beds and host responded immediately to any queries and was very kind and helpful.

Very nice, clean and cozy. Well equipped kitchen and a few minutes walk to a grocery store and 5 minutes walk to city center. Host was super responsive to our inquiries. Easy check in. Great WiFi. Very happy with our stay.

I like that it was in the center of Bergen. Everything is just walking distance. And it was like a comfort of your own house, beds are comfortable to sleep. The host is very responsive and accomodating. Thank you.

There is nothing we didn’t like about it. But i had a suggestion which I told to the host already.

Close to everything

I loved that the apartment is located in the heart of Bergen. And close to every thing. Also the apartment it self have a special charm. “Old Bergen”. The apartment is really big and for a family of four, we felt very comfortable.
