Princess of Dickoya Homestay

Saman and his wife are truly amazing people, making us feel very welcome and going above and beyond our wishes. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, the room has a lovely view and the surroundings are beautiful. Saman was so kind to take us to Adam’s Peak early in the morning for a hike. Would have loved to stay longer!

Room was very well kept and clean and Saman & his wife was very hospitable and helpful. Had a great time and they even made special breakfast as I was celebrating my birthday.

Coming from the main road to the property you need to be careful as the road is narrow.

La famille est adorable. Le petit déjeuner et les repas sont excellents. Ils sont très attentifs aux détails, très arrangeants. L’hôtel est très calme, sur les hauteurs du petit centre ville mais rapidement accessible à pieds. Les hôtes vous donnent d’excellentes recommandations pour découvrir les environs.

Rien, tout était parfait

Ystävällinen majoittaja ja herkullinen ruoka. Siistit huoneet ja upeat maisemat, varsinkin ruokailuterassilta. Pääset helposti kävelemään kauniille teeviljelmille heti majoituksen vierestä. Emäntä pesi ystävällisesti meille ison kasan pyykkiä. Kiitos paljon!

La amabilidad y la comida

This was one of the most peaceful and relaxing places during our Sri Lanka trip. Surrounded by beautiful tea plantations, the location offered breathtaking views, especially during sunrise when the mist moved through the hills. The family atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming, and we always felt very well taken care of. The hosts were extremely helpful in organizing excursions and even arranged a tuk tuk in the middle of the night for our Adam’s Peak hike. A true highlight — besides the hospitality — was the amazing authentic Sri Lankan food. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, varied and freshly prepared every day. We especially appreciated that they thoughtfully adapted some dishes for our children, who could not eat very spicy food. A wonderful place to experience the beauty of Sri Lanka’s hill country together with genuine hospitality.

Situé en plein milieu des plantations de thé, en retrait du village ce qui est un plus. Vue superbe sur les plantations. Hôte qui m'ont donné de bon conseils. Bref, parfait...

Im Princess of Dickoya Homestay haben wir 3 tolle Tage verbracht. Wir wurden von Saman herzlich begrüßt und zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit betreut - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Jeder Tag begann direkt mit einem Highlight, nämlich dem von Salman und seiner Frau auf dem Zimmerbalkon servierten Frühstück, das wirklich keine Wünsche offen gelassen hat. Auch die Planung und Durchführung der Tuk-Tuk durch die umliegenden Teeplantagen und zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten (Wasserfälle) hat bestens geklappt. Auch die Tour zum Adam's Peak war bestens organisiert. Unterwegs zu Adam's Peak konnten wir auch einigen Teepflückerinnen bei Ihrer Arbeit zu schauen und schöne Bilder machen. Damit noch nicht genug, Salman konnte zu unserer Überraschung uns auch noch 2 Zugtickets für die Bahnfahrt nach Ella besorgen. Dass die Anfahrt zum Princess of Dickoya etwas holprig ist, ist allenfalls eine Randnotiz wert. Last but not least - auch die angebotenen Speisen im Restaurant sind sehr gut. Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!
