RUThe staff is really nice, I mean that one man I talked to every morning in the kitchen
MTI think it’s a great value for money. The rooms are clean (and it’s being cleaned every day!). Nice kitchen which is reasonably equipped (there is also hot chocolate which made my day!). Staff is super friendly and helpful and they are there whatever you need.
The room is a bit dark and the working space is not super comfortable but then again- it’s still a great value for money!

GBI had a great stay at Blue Waves. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe here and was able to really relax. The breakfast was just what I needed after surf lessons (arranged with Dreamland Surf School through Blue Waves) and my room was always kept clean with plenty of fresh towels. It's very easy to get anywhere in Ulu with Gojek or Grab, and being a little further out meant it was always peaceful and quiet. Such good value for money!

Breakfast is nice but a bit basic. The coffee is instant coffee. I would suggest a coffee machine or filter coffee instead + adding a plantbased milk option. I don’t eat gluten, so I chose scrambled eggs and a banana each morning. I would’ve been willing to pay extra for more diverse breakfast options, like oats, chia pudding, smoothie bowl etc.

GBThe homestay is one of the best appointed homestay I have been to. Fridge, water, toiletries, sore comfortable bed and really lovely staff.
Sadly, my room was double booked for the first night, and Iyu arranged for me to stay about 20 minutes away in a more busy part of Uluwatu. Unfortunately, Jepun Villas04. There was a club next door that played music until the early hours and this was followed by a group of people playing pool and making A LOT of noise until about 3 a.m. As a consequence, I had a disastrous night's sleep. Not Blue Waves' fault, but if you are offered an alternative, make sure it is not Jepun Villa04.
