Characterful Yorkshire cottage, beautiful views

Oh my where to start! We booked this the day before arrival after the previous booking we had with another cottage just cancelled on us! Turns out it was a blessing in disguise because wow you will literally gasp as you walk through the door!!! The photos do not do justice to this please it’s unreal. We walked in to complementary milk, crumpets, butter and chocolate biscuits which was much needed as we were all starving and ready for a brew (tea coffee and sugar supplied). Everything you could possibly need is supplied all cooking utensils, cleaning supplies inc dishwasher tablets, blankets, towels, iron, hair dryers, endless logs for fire, dog bowls for big and small dogs.. the list could go on!! I was blown away by how prepped it was. The cottage has a utility room with a washer, dryer & toilet. 2 more toilets upstairs with bath & shower. The bed was so also so comfy! The view from every room in the house is stunning. Night time is so peaceful you could star glaze all night, a fire pit outside the patio area would have been the cherry on top!

Noticed a lot of flies not sure where they were coming from as kept door and windows closed but they got pretty annoying towards the end. Need a car if you want to go pub/shop.

Everything is great. Lovely place to stay. Hope to stay longer but we don't have more time. Beautiful house and surrounding.

Beautiful cottage in exceptional grounds. Great location from York, 30 minute max, drive in, was lovely to return to such a peaceful, beautiful spot.

The house and the grounds are absolutely exceptional. The house was incredibly clean and was suitable for our toddler and dog.

The television for the house next door is right up against the wall of the sitting room and was quite boomy and loud. There is no first aid kit so make sure you bring one with you.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rossmore park once we found it. The welcome biscuits, etc, milk in the fridge. It felt like Anna had thought of everything. And the grounds were simply breathtaking. We felt very spoilt & rested. We honestly could not have asked for more or had a more lovely time. Comes highly recommended. We didn't want to come home. My sons absolutely loved it aswell, they were off in the gardens exploring, so they had the best time aswell. Thank you so much. Hope to return one day. We loved our break so much.

The only small issue / matter Ii personally experienced was the cottage only had feather pillows, I'm very allergic to feathers. Had I known, I'd have bought my own pillow. So this could do with a mention. I slept without one. But that's a small thing.
