GBEverything! It's a great option when most accommodation in Tangier old town is now either tired or very expensive. This is a newly built apartment hotel just a 25Dh (£2.30) taxi ride from the Grand Socco and has a separate restaurant one side and a convenience shop the other side (all owned by the hotel) so flexibility to sort food options. We had booked somewhere else in Tangier but on arrival it turned out to have become a dodgy area and a bit of a dump so we took a taxi ride to first check out this hotel and then booked it on the spot. Another bonus was that It's only a 15Dh taxi ride from the main train station. We've done a month around Morocco on this trip and this was probably the second best place we've stayed in from a cleanliness and facility perspective. The receptionist was really helpful and the one meal we had in the restaurant (1 x tajine and 1 x pizza) was good value and both were fine. Total bill 160Dh (£13.75) Tangier has changed into such a modern city these days that you sacrifice nothing by being a bit further out of the old town - especially as cruise ships have sadly hastened the end of all the old traditional souks which have now been replaced by shops all selling the same tourist tat.
