We loved everything about this property, the room was absolutely amazing and it had everything you can think of and more!! Full kitchen, onsen, sauna, foot bath…. Tv and pull down movie screen!! Very clean!!

The only thing we didn’t love was that it’s not staffed, although they are a quick call away, they weren’t able to help with our problems because they weren’t located at the hotel, the vending machine didn’t accept North American credit cards and there wasn’t anything too close for amenities, so you have to plan your meals accordingly!

No staff on site. No way to store luggage. No way to enter the property until exact check in time. No one but a number to contact if there are any issues.

Our stay in Hakone was absolutely perfect! Even though it is an unmanned hotel, the check-in process was incredibly easy and seamless. The room was completely spotless and actually even better than what was shown in the picture: amazing design and comfort. We had a lovely, restful stay and only wished we could have stayed a bit longer. Highly recommend!
