Solway Holiday Park

We thought that the chalet is from wood as it’s look like on pictures,but not,nothing special

Nothing,as the toilet was blocked after single use,and when the issue was sorted,was smell from toilet all the time

The caravan was well appointed. The parking was sufficient. The kitchen was good.

The locks were hard to use. Most of the time it jammed. No response to call at the reception when got locked out. The mobile in the letter is wrong. The caravan was not clean enough. The hot rod in toilet was filthy. The upholstered sofa smelled of pets.

Size of rooms.

The beds were in the wrong rooms so the window was behind the headboard of the double and the room with the twin beds had a dressing area. Made no sense. Some outdoor furniture would be nice.

It was spacious and the beds were really comfy, staff were lovely and entertainment was decent given the size of the park

The hot tub kept getting a very strange greasy film on top if we used the jets, we mentioned it and they sorted it once but it just happened again when we tried to use it the same evening. Additionally, the carpet in the lounge area smelt of urine really badly, we complained and staff said someone would be round to sort it but that never happened. The restaurant had barely any gluten free options when we got there and by the second night the menu had been reduced dramatically so it was even worse. There is hardly anything to do within the area so we struggled to find anywhere else to eat without driving at least half an hour off site. Also, we were there Wednesday to Saturday and you couldn’t book any activities on the Friday as a lot of people check out this day, which was very rubbish for the people still there (like us)

Lovely and peaceful, area was safe and welcoming.

Would have liked more cleaning equipment in the chalet .

When I called to book, I asked only about the swimming pool and I was clear: open all day or slots to be booked? I was told it was open all day. When I arrived, I was told to book one hour slot only per day and that for the day of arrival and the following day, the pool was fully booked. I was also told to queue at the reception at 4 pm to try to book for later ? What if I were busy doing other stuff at that time ?

Absolutely disgusting place caravan was filthy !!

Only one swim during g our stay due to pool being shut most of the time .staff very rude . Caravan was absolutely filthy no way had it been cleaned couldn’t check in until 4pm when everything was closed ie..pool
