The hospitality from Janik, his mum and the whole team was outstanding. This place feels like hone within the first 30 mins. An absolute joy of a place to stay, so much so felt a bit flat when we had to leave . Nothing was too much bother, from booking safari and cooking class, to going out of their way to make us feel super comfortable for our two night stay. Would reccomened to anyone in a heartbeat to stay here!

Wir wurden über unseren ganzen Aufenthalt so herzlich aufgenommen, sodass wir uns einfach unglaublich wohlgefühlt haben. Yanik war so zuvorkommend und hat uns sogar ein schöneres Zimmer vorbereitet als wir gebucht haben. Das Bett was superbequem, das Bad superschön. Am Tag unserer Anreise hatten wir dann einen wunderbaren Kochkurs im Freien mit vielen nützlichen Infos und einem super leckeren Rice and Curry am Ende. Nach unserer Morgensafari am nächsten Tag bekamen wir noch ein superlecker authentisches Frühstück 😊 Man hat einfach geschmeckt dass es mit Liebe zubereitet war. Wir sind super begeistert und können es jedem empfehlen einen Aufenthalt hier zu buchen.

The loving and caring family who run this place, an absolute highlight of my Sri Lanka travels. Swarna’s food is delicious, and Tissa and Janik made excursions to Elephant Safari, Transit Home, etc super easy.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit tollem Pool und sehr lieben Gastgebern! Das Zimmer mit Outdoordusche war außergewöhnlich, extrem sauber und das Bett eines der gemütlichsten der ganzen Reise. Die Nähe zum Udawalawe National Park ist perfekt, um die Safari am morgen früh zu starten.

Die Unterkunft ist extrem schön, gepflegt und sehr sauber. Besonders hervorzuheben sind jedoch die Gastgeber – eine unglaublich herzliche Familie (Eltern und Sohn), die alles dafür tun, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Die Mutter ist eine großartige Köchin – alle Speisen werden frisch zubereitet und sind wirklich hervorragend. Ein weiteres Highlight sind die vielen liebevollen Details, wie z. B. selbstgemachte Pflegeprodukte. Außerdem verfügen sie über einen eigenen Jeep und organisieren problemlos Safaris oder Fahrten zum Elephant Feeding Ground. Insgesamt kann ich mir kaum vorstellen, dass es eine bessere Unterkunft in Udawalawe gibt.

Gar nichts – ich wüsste wirklich nicht, was man hier verbessern könnte.

Our stay here was easily one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we checked in, we were looked after by Janik, who runs the place with his mother; he is incredibly friendly and hospitable, making us feel at home immediately. The hotel itself is a little oasis of calm and peace. We unfortunately arrived in the evening and had to leave the next day, but if they’d had the availability, we would have gladly stayed an extra night just to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The location is also perfect for the safari. Janik organized everything for us, providing a great jeep and driver, which made the whole experience completely hassle-free. To top it off, the food was delicious, honestly one of the best curries I’ve had during our entire trip and the beds were the most comfortable ones we slept in by far. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo splendido hotel a conduzione familiare. Location bellissima, staff gentilissimo con Janic e la sua famiglia che faranno di tutto per farvi sentire a vostro agio. Organizzano safari ed escursioni, posizione super per il safari nel parco di udalawawe. L’hotel disponde anche di una piscina. Abbiamo anche provato il ristorante e la cena era ottima (grazie mamma di Janic!).
