The Cottage Negombo

Süße Anlage mit den kleinen Cottages rund um den Pool angelegt. Super herzlichen Empfang und rund-um Betreuung in allen Angelegenheiten

Die Cottages haben nur Fensterläden und keine Verglasung und auch keine Fliegengitter, d.h. Tagsüber entweder dunkel oder Tiere/Insekten im Raum.

Sehr schöne gepflegte Anlage. Preis Leistung stimmt hier, wir hatten zu zweit 60€/Nacht mit Frühstück bezahlt.

Die Lage ist nicht besonders gut, schwer ein tuktuk zu bekomme da eher Umgebung von vielen Einheimischen Häusern und etwas entfernt von negombo „Stadt“.

Heel erg rustig gelegen. Erg fijne mooie en zeer schone huisjes, met airco en klamboe. Nl muggen in de buurt vanwege langslopende rivier. Ontzettend vriendelijk personeel dat ad hoc een boottrip regelt of taxi vervoer. De communicatie voor aankomst was goed en snel. We werden opgehaald vanaf het vliegveld, ideaal. Heerlijk eten ‘s avonds en een goed ontbijt. Fijn zwembad in de tuin, schoon en lekker warm ook.

Just a little out of the way from the main action of bars and restaurants so you always need a Tuk Tuk which often takes some time.

Wir haben hier unsere letzte Nacht vor der Heimreise verbracht und es war wunderschön. Insbesondere der tolle Pool mit den gemütlichen Liegen und ausreichend Schatten. Auch das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker. Morgens mussten wir leider schon sehr früh zum Flughafen, bekamen aber noch ein Lunchpaket. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Mixed feelings about our stay. On one hand, the staff was great and didn't charge us for the first night we missed due to a flight cancellation. On the other hand, we felt scammed on the transport they organized. Paying €70 for a taxi to Sigiriya when the local rate is €45 felt like a dishonest way to recoup their losses. A bit disappointing.

This is a beautiful little guesthouse tucked away in a quiet area. The rooms are fantastic - spacious and exceptionally clean - and the pool area is lovely for relaxing and spending time. Breakfast was very good and the staff friendly and helpful.

The only thing to mention is the bed which was the least comfortable bed we had in our two week stay in Sri Lanka. The wooden bed frame also creaked a lot.

Cute in individual cottage, around the pool. Excellent food. You can walk to the beach but that area of the beach is not great
