Meikle Farm Cottage

Great little cottage - good room sizes and facilities. Beautiful setting - very remote.

Kitchen utensils and cutlery a bit lacking!

Good size and lovely rural location .

Damp patches in ceiling and around window in back twin room - the wall is so damp that the blind fell off the wall. Rotten wood in skirting and bath panel in bathroom. The back door from utility room to back garden could not be opened - the lock appears to have collapsed inside - this is signed as a fire exit and cannot be opened which is a concern.

Nothing!

We didn't stay. The accommodation had not been cleaned or made up from the previous occupants. We couldn't get hold of anyone from the telephone number supplied on Booking.com Another number was found at the property and a woman eventually phoned back to say they could get someone to come and clean and remake the cottage the next day! We had to find alternative accommodation for our group. The property owners were left voicemails and emails, no response was received. Appalling service from the property owners MJC Property Ltd. I called their office on our return home and was informed I would receive a refund from Booking.com within 4 weeks. When I contacted Booking.com after the 4 weeks they had no record of the request for a refund. Booking.com sent confirmation within 24 hours a refund had been processed. I would NOT recommend booking this property or any other owned by MJC Property Ltd,

The house is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location

Very clean, staff reacted quickly

A shelf in the bathroom would be useful, and some hooks on doors. Some side tables in the sitting room for mugs are missing (we moved some dining chairs over). The plug point in the front twin room is inaccessible behind the bed.

Quiet. Excellent cottage

Quiet area, warm and comfortable once we finally got some keys

Could do with a spruce up and some minor up keep
