Drakensberg Bush Lodge and Backpackers

Set in the quiet outskirts of Winterton the property is lovely and quiet. We stayed over twice on our trip to the Drakensberg. We went up in the hot air balloon which was a bucket list adventure we didn’t know we needed. Floating gently above the clouds and peeping down at the land below was magical. The backpackers is basic but has everything you could need for a comfy place to sleep, and the cottages are super comfy and well equipped if you’re looking for something a little fancier. Loved listening to all the birds in the mornings. The staff were also so welcoming, helpful and friendly.

The efficiency of our check in process, very welcoming, thank you. It was in a perfect location to where we needed to be.
