Leon Hilltop Resort

Leon Hilltop is a new venture (hence few reviews). It is in a great location (up the hill from team 39 watersports). It sits on the ridge line and has great views. It is well away from the road and was lovely and peaceful. The accommodation was immaculate - clean and comfortable. Sameera and his team were extremely welcoming and attentive from the outset. At the time of writing they didn’t have in house catering, instead using a local hotel to provide food and drinks which were brought up to our dining area. If you’re coming for a bit of rafting I’d highly recommend Leon Hilltop - I’m certain Sameera and his team will look after you just as well as he did us!

The resort is very new and there is everything you would need for a nice stay. The bed was super comfortable as well. The owners are lovely and make sure you are always comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place because it has a lot of potential! The location point is not correct on Google Maps, but you can get to the right place by following the directions in the previous review.

The staff was a bit unexperienced, but it didn’t bother us as it was compensated with a lot of friendliness. Also it is a freshly opened place so it is understandable that there is a bit of a learning curve.

This hotel is located on a hill, maybe 50m higher and 300m removed from the main road. It is in a very peaceful and quiet location surrounded by nature but still in walking distance to the main road and restaurants etc. The building and rooms are new, very clean and spacious with modern electrical installations including a silent aircon and a good bathroom. The hotel was only recently opened, and not yet everything is 100% finished, but that is more than compensated by the helpfulness and eagerness of the very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is associated with one of the bigger organizers of Rafting, canoeing, etc. called "Rafting team 39", which is located directly below on the main road. This allows for flexible and very easy logistics and guarantees fair conditions for activities organized by that company. The small access road to the hotel starts on the main road about 500m South-East from "Rafting team 39". In my case I got off the bus there and was driven up the hill.
