El onsen como es privado hay que pagarlo aparte y reservarlo, 2000 yenes por 30 minutos. Preferí ir a un onsen publico cercano sin limite de tiempo por 1400 yenes, experiencia espectacular a nivel cultural.

Very tranquil atmosphere.

Lots of stairs, especially in room was awkward.

I chose RoheN HAKONEYUMOTO because of its history - 100 years property! I love the rustic vibe, the simplicity, and proximity to the station. I also love that Rohen serve breakfast and free drinks everyday. I loved it that you provide lockers for free while waiting for check-in time or for those who check-out early. The common area at the lobby is so cozy, quiet, and great for nightcap while having a drink and listening to music. I love the storage areas for big and small things. I love the pajamas, so soft and comfortable. I forgot to ask if we could buy a pair.

Loft-type room - the size of the room was enough to move around and store your stuff. Though the bed was comfortable and the room was warm, the loft-type room makes it difficult to go down in the middle of the night if you wish to use the bathroom. We're in our 50s, so would appreciate if we had the option for a normal bed while booking. Rice for breakfast - love the buffet options, they're not overwhelming, and the savory crepe was super healthy! But I wish that rice was in the menu. I wonder if the breakfast was intended for non-rice eating clients. Coffee refill in the room - forgot to ask to refill but i hope this was consciously checked.

Plant is around, the dorm is private (with door) and cozy, location is close to center.

Great location, right off the Hakone’s main road. Quiet, lovely decor and atmosphere.

Room a bit on the simple side but comfortable and clean.
