Nothing. Loved everything.

You felt the warmth of the home as you enter the doors. Enough space for all the family and friends.

The property was TRIPLE booked! We arrived at the property, to find other people staying. The Host advised that the property had been triple booked, and had received 3 times the one night stay BUT did not appear to try to determine the reason why she had received 3 times the usual one night stay prior to her guests arriving - and hence we arrive for our one night accommodation to attend a wedding - and NO ACCOMMODATION. If the Host recognised there was an irregularity with the bookings, I believe as a responsible Host, she should have further investigated and provided communication with her guests PRIOR to their arrival. Te Aroha is a very small rural town, and there are not a lot of options to stay elsewhere. According to a local resident, this is not the first time this property has been double booked, and people needed to try to find other accommodations! NOT IMPRESSED!

Very handy location, walking distance to nice cafes, restaurants, shopping. We especially liked the mountain climbing and hotspring spa.

The only thing - if one wants longer stay, there's no drier or washing machine, nor clothes hanging. We were a group of 6 people, some of us did say they'd appreciate if there's clothes washing/drying option available.

It’s like home away from home. Beautifully presented, gorgeous character property. Comfortable bedding, lovely linen. The kitchen is so well stocked with everything you could possibly need. I’ve never stayed in any accomodation that has catered for its clientele like this gorgeous place. The host also had a bowl of fresh summer fruit & chocolates, fresh picked herbs, so very kind & thoughtful.

You need to be careful in the bathroom as the floor is polished & it’s a wet room set up, so water goes everywhere. But I’m saying that, there were loads of bath mats & a squeegee to sort the water out.

The Te Aroha courthouse was such a beautiful place to stay, old building beautifully done up , lovely character, slept our group of 7 very comfortably.

I found the courthouse to be wheelchair accessible except for a couple of things, somegrab rails would be great next to the toilets & maybe a plastic chair for the shower as i had to have a basin wash instead of a proper shower.
