"Comfortable stay for a one night stay."

Our room ( 5 ) was very spacious, huge king size bed with plenty of storage. With a lovely en suite shower room. Unfortunately the pillows were like bricks so awoke with a stiff neck even though I discarded mine during the night.

We were very disappointed to find they do not serve breakfast which is unusual today the least. Although we didn’t eat there, we wanted a last drink at 10.00pm after returning from an event locally. They close the bar at 10.00 pm even for residents which we found a bit odd on a Saturday night.

The beautiful garden facing room is very clean and great on sunny days, bed was very comfy, bathroom was also very clean,

Thai & Burgers only in restaurant and no breakfast.

They close everything at 10pm to suit the owner also they close on Sunday and Monday also to suit the owner not a great service I will not stay again Michael Crowne

"Great stay here"

Loved this place. Nice quiet location, lovely old building, and the food beer and service were amazing. Was welcomed warmly on arrival and shown up to a lovely spacious room overlooking the garden. Had everything I needed and was explained where I could get breakfast in the morning. The Thai food in the evening was really tasty and the burgers looks really good too.

The noise from downstairs was really bad. That being said, I would stay here again but next time I would stay in the bar longer and be part of the noise so it's not a problem. It's a busy pub and an old building so can't be helped. The tea room and farm shop cafe open at 9.30am so bare that in mind if you want breakfast and have an early start. I went to Rumwel farm shop about 10 minutes away that opens at 8.30 and had a really nice breakfast in there instead.

The staff, restaurant and the location were exactly what we were looking for. Close to Taunton without being in the town itself, so a nice country location with little to no road traffic noise.
