Crags Country Lodge

This was our second visit to Crags. The standard is very high and to our taste. We were going to go here in Nov (before our March visit) but decided to change it and go to Hog Hollow just to have a variation - big mistake! If we go to the Plett Bay Area again, we will go here! The staff are very attentive and the Restaurant is of a fine dining standard.

Sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen in einer sehr schön gestalteten Lodge. Ruhig gelegen mit schönem Ausblick in die Natur. Das Personal ist aufrichtig um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht.

Die Anlage ist absolut traumhaft und liegt eingebettet in einer wunderschönen Landschaft – ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen und Genießen. Die Zimmer sind modern, großzügig geschnitten und sehr komfortabel ausgestattet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das durchweg freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, das den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht. Insgesamt ein Haus auf sehr hohem Niveau – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Nur ein sehr kleiner Minuspunkt - die Straße ist teilweise in der Anlage zu hören

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in Crags Lodge und es war wieder traumhaft schön. Tolle Lage, sehr schönes , sehr sauberes Zimmer mit Terrasse und schönem Blick auf die Berge im Hinterland. Extrem freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal und tolle Küche sowohl beim Frühstücken als auch beim sehr guten Abendessen bei guten Weinen und gehobenem Standard. Wir wurden herzlich umsorgt und jeder Wunsch wurde uns prompt erfüllt. Außerdem ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge an den unglaublich schönen Strand von Plettenberg oder zur Robbenkolonie “Roberg” und weitere Naturparks. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall noch ein drittes Mal :)

Good location and views. Comfortable room.

The property was fine but the restaurant meals were average.

We couldn’t fault a single thing - the location and views from the property are stunning! Very convenient for getting to Plettenberg Bay (a 15 minute drive). The service was impeccable, with a lot of attention to detail which made the stay feel special. The food was also fantastic (some of the best we’ve had on our trip in South Africa). Couldn’t recommend enough, would have loved to stay longer!

Exceptional service from start to finish: a warm welcome with a drink, spotless rooms with beautiful bedding, and very attentive staff with a personal touch (including personalized menus). Special thanks to Zamo and Masi for their outstanding hospitality. The estate itself is stunning.

A bit far from other places but it was a worthwhile trade off

Sehr schön gestaltete Anlage, grosse Zimmer und super Restaurant. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommen und wir haben uns herzlich empfangen gefühlt. Die Lage war für uns ideal, da es etwas ausserhalb des Trubels in Plett gelegen ist, aber direkt an der N2. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen. :)
