Otter Shepherds Hut

Excellent escape to the countryside. Alix and Scott are so welcoming and friendly. Ginger, the cat, came to say hello. The bed is so comfortable and there is plenty of room. The shower is good, and the hut itself is lovely. To wake to the sound of the stream and the birds is amazing. Wonderfully stay

We arrived late and the instructions received prior to the day of arrival were extremely thorough which massively helped. The hut was incredibly welcoming and luckily the weather was pleasant at times, allowing us to enjoy walking around the farm and to use the outside table. However, when the rain came we were extremely content in the hut, looking out the window. A lovely booklet was waiting for us upon arrival with useful information and everything was clean and set up ready to go. The bathroom was impressive, a lovely warm shower! The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. We felt incredibly welcome and really enjoyed the unique experience. The hut was a great base for us to go on day trips and explore. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return!

Wonderful location, being with nature at its best! Loved every second! Would highly recommend to any couple wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Only thing we can think of is the bed size, we are used to a super king bed so going from that to a double was fun, but that’s nothing when you think about the experience you get in the Shepard’s hut.

The Otter Shepherds Hut is everything we wanted in a cosy countryside getaway. Situated alongside a flowing river on a working farm with lots of roaming animals. Alix and Scott were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hut has all the basic necessities and more.

The roads in the area are very narrow if you’re not used to country roads.

Can’t put into words how amazing this place is , Scott and Alix very welcoming will definitely be going back , relax and unwind in a beautifully looked after Shepard’s hut , see you soon !!!

This shepherd's hut was amazing!! It was so cosy and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay.The location was perfect,peaceful, and secluded, which we loved. We will definitely book again when we are next visiting Cornwall.
