Can’t checkin till 2pm, won’t even process paperwork So when two o’clock comes theres a massive queue, we were waiting 40 minutes to be seen. Water was cold, so no showers for us. Gym equipment is broken, no umbrella outside by the pool and only a few sun loungers. Cereal bowls are the smallest in the world, orange juice is no pure orange. Supposedly a 5 star!

Location, cleanliness and most of the staff was great.

Old bosslady in the reception day shift was rude. Everything is done with pen and paper in the reception so be prepared to wait if they can’t find your rooms paper in the stack of 50 rooms.

Far enough from nightlife to be quiet

Bed was literally a mat, not a sprung mattress - this is common in Thailand but this one was particularly stiff. Not comfortable and I didn't sleep well. Reception staff were not great at communicating - my friend and I arrived about 15min before check-in and stood at one of 4 counters with a 'reception' sign above it. When check-in opened at 2pm they started checking people in from another random counter, ignoring us completely. Check-in took about 30-45min and this was with us 3rd or 4th in the queue. Shower was perfectly usable but rough around the edges, sink again usable but worn out.
