super spacious villa within walking distance to Hakone-Yumoto station, we stayed in April and didn't experience any bugs despite certain review so we really enjoyed our stay! The villa was a perfect choice for our 8 month old too, he had a lot of fun crawling around on the tatami mats and we didn't have to worry about him rolling off the bed with the futons which were very comfortable.

Lovely, comfortable apartment in a quiet location with river views. Cute little restaurants, local bakery and 7/11 all close by. Recommend if you're looking for something out of the hustle & bustle. The walk to/from town (without luggage) is really nice - about 10 - 15 minutes.

It was a bit further from the train & bus station than we were expecting, especially with all our luggage. Would recommend a local taxi/Uber when travelling with your luggage. Access to a washer/dryer is great but the dryer doesn't work very well - be prepared for multiple cycles.
