I had an amazing time, never thought about the things I didn’t like.

We stayed in the Canouan Suite (room 8), described as a King Room with Sea View, for 5 nights and we had a fantastic stay. The room itself was large and spacious, but there was also an ensuite bathroom and dressing room which was almost as big. And the sea view from the balcony was just "WOW"! The bed was large and very comfortable, the shower was great, and the WiFi worked perfectly for us, both in the room and around the hotel solarium. There was a large safe, a full size ironing board and iron, excellent quality towels, and a small clothes line in the shower for drying your laundry. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was tasty and the food from the restaurant (we ate there three nights) was decent quality and not badly priced. They offered a complimentary pick up from the ferry, which was great, and they also provided free shuttle buses to the port and back several times during the day - the alternative being a 45 minute walk (not all downhill) to Port Elizabeth, which you wouldn't choose to do more than once in the heat!

The curtain in our room on the balcony window was not designed to keep out light. It was more a net or a voile and meant that we woke up as soon as the sun had risen. Future guests would probably appreciate the option of a thicker curtains and a longer lie-in!

The location was great. The food was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and had a perfect view of the sea.

Needed a full length mirror in the room.
