Potters Bank Durham

Well laid out, comfortable & welcoming. There was everything needed for a lovely stay.

We had no issues with parking as we only had 2 cars but it would be difficult with more.

This is a modern townhouse in a quiet residential development within walking distance of the city centre and provides an excellent base for a few days spent exploring Durham and its surroundings. The property is well furnished and was very clean when we arrived. We didn't really test the kitchen facilities, but there appeared to be everything that you would want for a few days' stay. Martin provided very prompt answers to the few questions we had and was very willing to consider some flexibility in the check-in and check-out times, which was much appreciated.

We don't really have anything negative to say about our experience. The townhouse layout may not suit those who have difficulty with stairs, but was fine for us. If we had to identify one thing that could be improved, it would be to provide a folder containing all the basic logistical info - e.g., wifi password, information about the heating, recycling, etc - but Martin was very quick to answer our few questions, so that really is a minor quibble.

Location is in a nice quite area, ideal for a few nights stay in Durham, nice walk into the city, however bit of a trek back as its all up hill, we chose a Taxi back (£6),the House has 3 Good Sized Bedrooms, easily sleeps 6 people, Kitchen is modern and has everything needed, (there was some tea and coffee in the cupboard), towels and bed linen very nice and comfy. We had and issue with the Key Code sent from Booking.com however the property owner was brilliant and instantly responded and resolved the issue.

We would note that some of the bathrooms did not have any hand wash in, however other than that is was perfect.
