"10/10!"

10.0

We loved everything. 4x4 ride to camp was beautiful, tents were convenient and clean. Hot water in the shower (with good pressure!), heater inside tent. Dinners and breakfasts were delicious. The camp is located far away from other camps, we stayed for 2 nights so we had 1 whole day for enjoying the silence and beauty of the desert (lot of places to relax inside camp - cushions, benchs, beds, chairs. Staff was amazing, very helpful and cheerful. It was good value for money - we paid additional 100 euro per person for ride there and back 4x4 and 2 dinners.

Nothing, sometimes heater didnt work

"Awesome stay in the desert. Friendly and helpful staff"

10.0

Great stay in the desert. Cool dune drive to and from the village. The hosts at the camp were awesome. Super friendly and always finding a solution. The dinner was authentic and very tasty.

Nothing, if there would be a baby cod, that would be top notch.

"Staff are very friendly, the food is delicious, and the location is very romantic, with excellent views of the night sky"

9.0

Location was fabulous; it is farther than the other camps and more private

There is a separate charge for transportation from parking to the camp, which I wish had just been included in the price. However, it was worth every dirham and I would go again without a doubt

"Highly recommend for families!"

This camp was a wonderful experience for my family. The hosts were gracious and the location couldn’t be beat. It felt like we were the only camp in the Sahara.

The camel ride was a nice experience. And the dinner was good, it comes in several courses. Very comfortable beds. There is a toilet and a shower in the tent.

It says on the profile that there is parking, but they don't tell you until you book that the parking is far away and you have to pay extra for transportation to the camp. Unfortunately, it was raining that one night we stayed, but that's not their fault. So maybe you should check the weather before coming to the camp.

"I love sandy desert dunes!!!"

10.0

It was smart decision to stay in the desert for 2 nights, not just a mainstream style 1 night. We had wonderful chance to enjoy desert slower and deeper. And here comes our thanks to camp owner Ali for flexibility to change our arrival and departure times and adjust activities as they didn't fit with mainstream procedures. Camp itself is lovely, staff - friendly and welcoming, cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner - awesome. This camp, indeed, is a bit more remote from others - at the far end of "camping street". Camel ride in sunrise hour before departure was awesome! Prices for all additional services were fair (although, transparency was missing, as mentioned at the downsides).

Because of winter season (early February), you have to be ready for cold room at night and mornings and refreshing shower. Sanboard was just one, we might have enjoyed better if there at least couple of sandboards. And main downside is extra pricelist after booking confirmation and not listed in the description. It seems to be the case for all camps in Merzouga, but I'd appreciate if I had full picture already at the moment of booking.

"nice and welcoming stay, but still quite pricy since the car towards the camp isn't included"

8.0

The tent was even better than expected. staff wasn't that great in their english but they tried there best and were very kind.

Sadly we didn't expected to pay for the ride towards the camp. We thought we read that it already was included since you couldn't get to the camp with your own car. This was quite pricy per person

"Peaceful Camp, Helpful Staff, Poor WiFi, Not Functioning Heating"

5.0

Small and peaceful camp, good location with the view of sand dunes. Helpful staff. Good breakfast and dinner.

The room was too cold and the WiFi doesn’t work properly! In our first night, the heater didn’t work. We were frozen!! They changed our room in the second night, the heater was on for some time but it was off again during the night which made it too cold. Cold nights are expected in desert conditions; however, it wasn’t communicated honestly that heater isn’t working. We have been told that heater will be on in 10 minutes in our first night…

"Calm, comfortable, I think a bit different than other camps."

10.0

It's one of the few more remote camps - that's what made me choose this one. Other ones look placed one next to another. Staff was very flexible - e.g. they managed to prepare gluten-free bread (and they were not advised before). Food was tasty and plentiful. We were there in winter - there was a small heater in the tent but still I slept in a hat.

Be advised that booking.com shows only the price for the tent+breakfasts. You will have to add 4x4 or camel transport both ways from Merzouga, dinners and optional activities such as sunset rides and berber village trip, and this is not cheap. It was not super clear to me at first how much it was going to be and how it was going to be organised, I contacted them on whatsapp but did not feel 100% informed. But at the end of a day everything turned out to be perfect.
