Kelvin Garden Villa

We have a lovely stay and the host were super warm and helpful through out our entire stay. We were not aware though that it is kind of a home stay as you share the kitchen facilities and the kitchen area with the hosts as they too stay on the other side of the villa. The Garden was very beautiful and serene…. Very peaceful.

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. When we arrived in Queenstown, we had an unexpected situation and they kindly picked us up from the airport, which was really appreciated. They also gave us lots of great tips on things to do and places to eat when they found out we didn’t have any plans. The room was very clean, the bed was really comfortable, and there was a lovely garden right outside.

One small thing to note is that, compared to staying in the town centre, you need to take a ferry to get into Queenstown each day. It’s very easy and convenient, but it costs NZD 14 per trip. On the bright side, the area is quiet, peaceful, and beautiful, which made the stay very relaxing.

Beautiful garden. The room was spacious and clean. The location is 20 min drive from Queenstown, we liked the quiet neighborhood and the view of the lake. The hosts are very pleasant and their hospitality was excellent, though it was quite difficult to communicate with them.

We had an amazing stay! David and Amy who welcomed us were absolutely exceptional – kind, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully taken care of, and their hospitality went above and beyond. The room was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, Kelvin Garden Villa has a special energy. Highly, highly recommended!

This was a lovely property and the hosts were very hospitable and even made us breakfast. The room was warm, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and well presented. In addition there was a lounge overlooking Lake Wakatipu, with wonderful views.

Can get hot during the middle of the day, would benefit from having a fan available. Location was somewhat far from downtown which is the center of tourist activity
