The Baobab Homestay

Friendly and helpful staff, low cost and great value, location just a five minute walk from the Dodoma airport, bed was comfortable.

Location is in a slightly sketchy area of Dodoma off an unpaved road. Standard rooms are tight and bathrooms tiny; "deluxe" rooms are bigger but nothing to write home about; common space for breakfast is quite small. Bathroom had a bit of a sewer smell. No mosquito nets over beds (fortunately I had brought some spray).

The location is walking distance from the airport

Host only wanted cash payment. No transport at night. No place to eat close by at night. breakfast was disappointing. Communication between staff not great.

Breakfast was terrible and on the second day it just didn't come. The room, sheets, walls, everything was dirty. The shower had no pressure. There was a very bas odour coming from the bathroom. Just everything that could be wrong, was.

Very noisy from water pump and people who were going around early morning. Room squizzed as much as it can be, with even smaller bathroom. There are much better places for same price in Dodoma. The breakfast was only chapati (local pancake), one boiled egg and cup of tea. The host has marked as no-show even I was staying there for one night.
