Dawn Mountains Farm

The location was perfect as we were attending a family wedding at a nearby winery. The two bedroom apartment we had was lovely and very spacious. My room was separate to that of my parents' suite but right next door. A lovely setting with ponds, trees, vineyard and guava orchard. Simon at the gate was most friendly and attentive. The pool was nice but we didn't swim as the weather was not warm.

We were met by the housekeeper as apparently the manager/s was/were on leave. The owner of the property came around to say hello and check on things. We had alot of trouble with the television (no instruction provided on how to use it) and the kitchen was rather sparsely outfitted. No washing machine/dryer on the premises so you have to go into town to a laundromat. The door to my bathroom was warped at the bottom and so didn't open and close properly. Quite a few bugs in the room (cricket, spider, etc.) on arrival which was a bit disconcerting. No one told us there was another entrance to the property which we could have used at night when the guard was out patrolling.

Accommodation and facilities were top class.Farm was exceptionally well maintained, and we felt like we were in 5 star venue. We really enjoyed our anniversary getaway at Dawn Mountains.Will definitely be back.

We loved everything about this property! From the drive into the big security gate to the privacy of the unit. The view overlooking the dam, with breathtaking sunsets over the mountains, the heated jacuzzi / pool. Even the view from our bed. The fit and finish of the unit is gorgeous. Photo's of the unit does not do this place justice. The owner, Pieter, went above and beyond for us and made us feel right at home. This is the place to stay if you want to be in nature. We'll stay here again in a heart beat.

Everything from the start of our arrival to departure was a delightful experience. The warm welcome and personal touches hosts - Isabella, Pieter and Mahmoud. The DAM room was a great experience for a get away! Rooms are clean and provided all necessary utensils with just a call away.

we. had a lovely stay at Dawn Mountain. Owners were wonderful and made sure the hot tub was ready to go. cottage is situated on a little lake and it's peaceful and beautiful. The grounds at Dawn Mountain were bursting with blooms. We enjoyed our stay very much. Having a smart TV so we could relax and watch a movie one night was a real plus too.

The Dam cottage was very welcoming, thanks to the property manager Izabella. Before we even arrived, we were advised that the hot tub is lit and will be ready to enjoy when we arrive. This was very true. She went the extra mile to make our short stay memorable. The property itself is beautiful, serene, and placid, and one could easily forget it's only a stones throw from Cape Town. A destination worth visiting.

Regarding the property, there is not much not to like. We have communicated some of our suggestions directly with the property manager.

The host was very friendly and the property was outstanding. Everything was provided for, and the hot tub was exceptional.
