INThe aesthetic of the hotel is magical. Has a colonial appeal with complete wooden structure. The room size is huge, it's clean. Food is exceptional. The property is huge. Great place to relax and watch birds.

We expected more trekking pathways and offers; guides are very expensive (March 2025) but the very friendly stuff invited us to nice activities at Arankayam Homestay, so we had a great 3 days stay there!
GBThis is a fantastic and characterful place to stay. An historical property with a working plantation. We opted for a room in the main building but the huts overlooking the mountain look fabulous. A special mention to the staff, Jafar and Sunil, who were absolutely fantastic - courteous and kind. The owner, Rajesh, also called in to see us and was also very courteous, explaining the future plans for the accommodation. A special mention also for the food which was fantastic and plentiful.

GBWe spent 5 nights here at the amazing Aranyakam homestay but we could easiy have spent more! It was very hard to leave this incredible place. We were in the Minivet treehouse which has stunning views across the valleys and mountains (see pictures). The food was incredible and the service brilliant from start to finish. Jafar and Rajesh really looked after us. The property itself is beautiful with lots of plants and spices growing including coffee. There is a lake on the property and some other walks. It's a nature paradise as well with incredible birds all around. From our balcony we saw Hornbills, White-Eye, Minivet, Several fly-catchers, Drongos, Parrots and Parakeets, Eagles, Peacocks, Barbets, Golden Oriole and lots more! Tours and Drivers can be arranged. This is a really special place and I can highly recommend it.
NLGreat hospitality, most welcoming host and good food! Very beautiful environment and building with verandas and views over the valley.
Rooms could use an update, mainly the mattresses and the bathroom. Although the location is serene, the local mosque can be pretty loud, also early morning.
INAmazing location, soothing silence and mesmerizing aura all around. Mr Rajesh was very friendly and joy to be around.
Food could have been better. Bathroom setup could be slightly more contemporary and bed should have been wider. Beds are too cramped up.
