golden hotel dondet

The hotel was located close to restaurants, booking tours and an easy walk from the boat pier. It was situated on the river where you could enjoy the sunset and breakfast each day. The pool was refreshing after being out all morning. Breakfast was reasonable. Staff made us extra pancakes as they had some noisy guests the previous night and I think they were trying to make it up to us. The staff were helpful but only one could speak English. We were given fresh towels and water each day. We can’t expect 5 star on an island in Laos so we were comfortable for our stay.

The shower head didn’t work correctly and the toilet ran out of water in the cistern each morning. The rooms need a good scrub and a bit of a paint to refresh them. One night we wanted to watch TV but it didn’t work according to the staff who came to look at it. We had coffee and cups in the room but no kettle which was odd.

Suite au changement de chambre, nous avons payé plus cher pour avoir un bungalow. C'était très agréable. Le petit déjeuner était bon.

Quand nous sommes arrivés dans la chambre réservée, elle était sinistre, les draps sales et plein de crottes de lézard au sol. J'ai demandé des draps propres. Le personnel les a secoués avec réticence. On a voulu annuler mais c'était impossible donc on a dû payer la gamme au dessus pour avoir quelque chose de propre.

Cofffe chambre inutilisable

the pool, the view, the location, the bed, the vegetation.

The insects inside the room, the mold over the wall, the ac pouring, the curtains are useless, the breakfast is bad, the staff does not speak one world of english (in a 4 star hotel…) and they are not professional. The coffee shop is there but you cannot order anything as they have nothing that’s on the card. they are rude and not helpful.

Pool with sunsest view was amazing! Well located near every restaurants and 3 minutes walk from the Ferry drop off. Breakfast was great with différent options.

Restaurant on site is a little pricy compare to restaurant in town. But its convenient when you wanna stay by the pool and dont have to move...

Très bel hôtel qui a dû avoir sa splendeur mais qui tombe en désuétude.Il manque d entretien. La piscine est belle, propre et bien entretenue. La vue est magnifique. La patronne est très très sympathique.

Les 2 premiers jours le petit déjeuner était plus que sommaire : café en poudre, quelques tranches de pastèque, oeufs au plat froids et trop cuits. Les 2 jours suivants, petit déjeuner pantagruélique, fruits, vrai café, oeufs au plat délicieux, pain
