Reeks Country House

Christina the host was absolutely amazing. The house is set in the most beautiful place. Everything was spotless and so perfect for us.

This house is amazing! It is bright, airy, spacious with several bedrooms and bathrooms. It is great if you are traveling with kids or just traveling with a couple of adults. It is a quiet, safe area that is close to the beautiful Gap of Dunloe and the Ring of Kerry. The house has all of the amenities you need, including a washer and dryer. The owner even put out travel brochures and helped us plan our time in the area. There is so much to do you may want to plan at least a week in the area. The owner was very sweet to have freshly made scones waiting for us along with fresh free range eggs from the area. As an added bonus, when I told her I had family who had lived nearby in the early 1800’s, she not only helped to locate and drive me to my family’s ancestral home and property, but she also helped me find a distant relative still in the area. You will love this home and the owner who is a local resident in the area and super helpful in giving great tips on the best places to visit and eat. Recommend this property at the highest rating! You can’t go wrong here.

We appreciated Reeks Country Home and all the comforts it offered. It was just wonderful. A beautiful view out every window …and exquisite finishes in the home were a special treat. It felt like a 5star hotel, only much better. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful Home

This is a special home made all the more special by the lovely host, Christina. It is in the most idyllic setting and the home is spacious, well-equipped and ideal for a large group. It was also exceptionally clean. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully set up for entertainment and relaxation. And nothing is better than opening the windows to see beautiful mountain peaks. Christina also went out of her way to call ahead to a restaurant to ensure they would let us order takeout after a long day of travel. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and had so many special touches like homemade bread, milk and butter waiting for us upon arrival. We had a splendid stay and would highly recommend it. Last tip….Don’t miss the Gap of Dunloe while in town…8 min drive from the property!

Nothing I can think of. As Americans used to A/C I would recommend sleeping with the windows open during summer months as the home is very well insulated.

The house is fantastic, set in a really beautiful and peaceful location. It has all the facilities you could need and more. Christina was a pleasure to deal with and so helpful; the milk, eggs & bread were a lovely touch after a long journey. Wiuld definitely stay here again :)

Lovely country escape, perfect for family’s / groups with small children.

The house and grounds were amazing for a trip to Killarney. Suitable for families and close enough to all major tourist locations that you could want. Christina was extremely responsive to messages for any questions we had during the stay.

This house is perfect! We travel often and this really was one of the best property we’ve stayed at. It was in a great location that sits in the middle of the ring of Kerry. It is a short drive to Killarney National park and only a couple minute drive to the Gap of Dunloe (which we visited by car after everyone left for the day, just beautiful). The property is secluded in the countryside but just a short drive from a grocery store and several restaurants. There was a large yard that overlooks the mountains and was great for the kids to get out to play. The house was immaculately clean with the added bonus of a washer/dryer. Above all, the host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She was extremely nice and gave us scones with jam( thank you, they were delicious) We appreciate her hospitality and really enjoyed the stay. You will love it and definitely should stay here. My wife & I and 3 other families stayed in Christina’s house for 4 nights over the June Bank holiday. The house was absolutely immaculate and so homely. Christina could not of been more kind and generous to us, had beautiful homemade scones with jam and butter waiting for us on arrival after a long journey from Donegal & tea coffee and fresh milk all there for our arrival. My wife and I had a gorgeous baby girl recently and Christina even went out of her way to get her a gift so thoughtful and so kind. Every room was beautifully decorated and so clean including all bathrooms. Christina provided cots and a small bed for the children and even installed stair gates for their safety and also provided a high chair. She went out of her way in every aspect to make sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay with our children. The children loved the toy room and had so much fun in here and in the large outside space. We would definitely give this home a 5 star review and would definitely return again. Thank you Christina for making our June Bank holiday a most enjoyable one. Many thanks
