3-Bed Apartment - Near Clyde Shipyard - 25 min Glasgow Airport

The location of the property was perfect and made an excellent base for visiting family and friends nearby. Having an elderly parent with us, the ground-floor layout was especially helpful and much appreciated. Entry was straightforward, with easy access via the key lock box. The property was clean enough for our needs on arrival.

We found the property to be lacking in comfort in several areas. The living room sofa was extremely firm—almost like sitting on a brick—which made relaxing difficult. The beds were overly soft, with springs that could be felt through the mattresses. Mattress toppers would make a big difference in improving sleep quality. The bathroom had several issues: there was no exhaust fan, causing the room to steam up quickly; the shower hose looked close to bursting and was being held together with a cable tie; the toilet seat was loose, and the sink wasn't securely fixed to the wall. Additionally, there was no wall mirror or hairdryer, which would be expected in a property of this size. Given that the property accommodates up to six people, we were surprised to find only three mugs available. A few more basics—such as clothes pegs for the outdoor line—would be helpful. Alternatively, considering the often poor weather, a washer/dryer combo would be ideal. Overall, with a few practical improvements, the comfort and usability of the property could be greatly enhanced.

The location and the communication in advance from the landlord was very good.

One of the rooms smelled very strongly of in grained cigarette smoke. The glassware in the cupboards was greasy. The front door lock to the flat was partially worn out and therefore very difficult to unlock the flat.
