Clean and comfortable

The house-lady was very friendly & welcoming. She doesn't speak English but Russian as a 2nd language and one of us speaks Russian. Communication in English was nonetheless organised via the contact phone-number at booking.com - thus it actually was not an issue of concern. We booked the breakfast at 15 lari pp and it was really great. Fried eggs, pancake, homemade marmelades & joghurt, and katchapuri, a traditional Georgian dish..The apartment apparently belongs to a farm. It is close to river, in the morning birds are singing, in 10 minutes walking distance to the center of Mestia. After all, one has to have in mind the real good price and that the svaneti-region is not a wealth-hotspot. Thus, our ratings reflect this too. As our friend - who was with us - said: "it's like 'holidays on the farm, without to have to milk the cow oneself. We definitely enjoyed our stay there and recommend it for all open minded and not too picky people Considering culture, we strongly recommend the local cinema for watching Dede, an internationally well renowned and awarded film whose story is about conflicting tradition & modernity, a story situated in the 1990s (info available eg at Wikipedia and many other sources) - local director and all actors from the svanety region - impressive.

wonderful apartment: three bedrooms, living room, bathroom. The kitchen has a washing machine, stove, refrigerator and much more. in the evening, it's good to sit on the large loggia. very friendly hostess, treats milk and matzoni. I recommend booking
