Reading Town Centre

The place was absolutely stinking!the kitchen was filthy!the shower hardly worked and was stinking!the smell of the place stuck to your clothes after you had left.The rooms themselves weren’t that bad but you wouldn’t risk your life cooking food in the kitchen especially after walking in and finding rats running around!!!

Booked and went, they literally was full and refused a room and didn't give a refund.

Spacious Double Room. Walking distance to Oracle Shopping Centre. All the shops nearby. Shared Kitchen but very spacious.

Convenient and walking distance to the town centre, property manager was lovely and very helpful

Nothing was mentioned about late check-in fees ….. I was travelling from London and due to some delay in train I was late to check In for half hour… They charge me £15 for that, which I think is not reasonable… I have never seem such policy and it was not mentioned online as well. Equally, the place was so dirty not clean, Toilets were horrible. I had to clean personally to use toilets.… I am never gonna come back again to this place and will never recommend to anyone.

The bags of rubbish piled up 3-4 foot high outside by the front door, The first room #7 I was told to go to by the proprietors agent whilst he fetched the keys Upon entering the room I noticed the one side of the bed looked slept in, I threw back the quilt and sure enough the bed was all ruffled in the spot with a large fresh urine patch on the bottom sheet. When the agent returned with the keys I pointed this out & he instantly pulled out the keys to room #8.... The lack of a toilet roll despite "Toilet paper" being listed in the add as one of the "facilities" No towel, no soap. Mattress that you could feel and hear every spring. A previous long term Tennant's belongings in the wardrobe and under sink cupboard. The cracks and timescale in the sink. The toilet door latch not working, (wouldn't retract into the door when you turned the handle) so you essentially were locked in the toilet. The hall light illuminating the whole room brightly due to the little kittens scurrying up and down the corridor all night and tripping the sensors (shadows looked like kittens). The proprietor demanding I pay them directly to their account rather than pay booking.com. the proprietor flatly refusing to issue a receipt saying that It should be issued by booking.com despite my protestations to the opposite. I'm sure there's lots more that will come back to me in nightmares but I think with therapy and care I'll be able to forget the whole episode in about 15 years
